	Day 1 ~ God Makes the Whole Universe This is in the Bible in Genesis Chapters 1-2


	Today Granny told us an amazing true story about how God made the whole universe. In the beginning God did the most amazing thing. You see there was nothing. No earth at all & it was completely dark. God then spoke. Each time God spoke something was made. .


		First He made the light Then He made the sky Then He made the land with trees and grass and plants

			Once God had made each of these he spoke again and made

		the sun, moon and stars the birds and the fish all the animals




			and then finally He made the first man and the first woman

	God made the man first and put him in a beautiful garden. It was amazing, it was completely perfect. It was God’s special place for him. God then made a woman to be hishelper. She was the perfect helper and they were best friends.


	The man and the woman were God’s special people and they were to live with God as their king. He loved them and cared for them.


	God also gave them a special instruction to obey. The man and the woman could eat as much as they liked from all the wonderful trees in the garden. But they were not to eat from just one special tree in the garden. God was teaching His people that He was their king and that they were to obey God’s word. How amazing is God!


	He said at the end it was all very good. And so on day seven he rested because He had finished all His making of the whole world. He had made His special people who were now living in His special place and they were in charge of His world. They were friends with Him as they obeyed His good word.
