After Jesus died his body was put in a tomb but three days later Jesus’ special friends were hiding in a room when Jesus appeared!

A week later Jesus’ special friends were hiding in the room again and this time Thomas was with them. Then suddently Jesus was there.

“Thomas, you didn’t believe I was alive. I am. Look! See the wounds in my hands where the nails were. Touch me! It’s really me. I am alive. Stop doubting and believe”.

“I don’t believe it! Unless I see him myself and see his wounds and touch him with my own hands I will NOT believe it”.

Thomas fell to his knees. He knew Jesus was alive.

“My Lord and my God! I do believe!”

Jesus then said some amazing words which are great news for us

“Thomas, you believe that I am Lord and God because you have seen me. But what about all those people who will never see me? Those people who never see me and yet believe that I am Lord and God will also be God’s special friends. God will be really happy that they believe even though they do not see me”.

John, who was one of Jesus’ special friends, wrote down everything he saw Jesus do and also all he heard Jesus say. At the end of writing it down he said

“I have written all these things that Jesus did in this book. I have written them so t hat you will believe in Jesus. So that you will know it’s all true. I want you to know that Jesus is God’s king and Son. If you believe that, you will have life forever with Jesus”.
